The Lenexa Historical Society (LHS) operates out of the Legler Barn, which is owned and maintained by the City of Lenexa. Inside the barn is a museum dedicated to the city’s history and those who had an impact on it. This Stone Barn, built by Adam Legler in 1864, was orginally situated on the Santa Fe Trail at the corner of 95th and Quivira, Lenexa, Kansas. In 1983 it was reconstructed at its current location. Guided tours are provided by staff and volunteers.

Also, at the LHS Complex at Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park, you can enjoy an herb garden, the Lenexa Train Depot & museum, the Wiedenmann Strang Line Wait Station, along with a caboose on partial train tracks.
